Portsmouth defy odds to reach FA Cup final

7:29 am on 12 April 2010

Bottom English Premier League football club Portsmouth have upset Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 at Wembley to make the FA Cup final.

Portsmouth have already been relegated from the top flight but they can go down with their second FA Cup win in three seasons if they beat Chelsea next month in the final.

Extra time goals to Frederic Piquionne in the 99th minute and a penalty to Kevin-Prince Boateng with just three minutes remaining did the job for Pompey.

Chelsea beat Aston Villa 3-0 yesterday in the other semi-final.
