The American golf great Tom Watson has accepted a special exemption to play the US Open championship at Pebble Beach in June.
60 year old Watson, who went so close to winning a 9th major championships at last year's British Open, last played the US Open seven years ago, and he's accepted an invitation to play this year after the USGA granted him an exemption from qualifying.
Watson tied for 18th at the Masters on Monday.
