Greg Murphy likes his chances of another home win

The New Zealand racing driver Greg Murphy believes he has his best chance of repeating his spectacular run of success at home this decade with this weekend's New Zealand round of the Ausralian V8 Supercar championship.

It's been five years since Murphy's last home win at Pukekohe, the track used for seven years before the series switched to the Hamilton street circuit in 2008.

He dominated the Pukekohe event in its early years, winning four times in five years, including three in a row from 2001-03.

Murphy says his move this year to the Queensland-based Paul Morris Motorsports and the recent debut of his new Triple Eight Race Engineering-designed Holden Commodore has given him the most competitive car he's had in years.
