Cruden loses mullet after bet

The Hurricanes will field quite possibly the smallest inside back combination of the Super 14 competition, when they play the Brumbies in Canberra on Friday night.

Tyson Keats will start at halfback with Piri Weepu away on bereavement leave following the death of his grandfather, while Aaron Cruden will make just his second start at first five eighth.

Keats weighs 80 kilogrammes and Cruden 79kg, the two lightest players in the Hurricanes squad although Cruden is possibly even a little lighter now that he's bald, having had to shave off his mullet after losing a bet with a mate.

Cruden says he challenged his mate to eat a McDonalds family meal, which he did, meaning he had to lose his locks.
