The trio, made up of Peter Michael, Reyon Kay and Shane Dobin face hosts South Korea in the semi finals of the men's pursuit while the Netherlands and Norway meet in the other semi-final.

New Zealand finished fourth fastest in the top eight shootout to qualify for the semi finals, South Korea and the Netherlands are the favourites to make the final. The winner of each semi final qualifies for the final.

While the trio were the last to make the final four, Michael told RNZ earlier this week that the team is capable of much quicker times and is looking forward to facing the hometown favourites in the semis. Racing begins at 12.22am tonight.
