Nadal pulls out of Barcelona Open

6:18 am on 20 April 2010

The Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal, fresh from his latest re-write of the record books with a sixth straight title in Monte Carlo, will not make it six in a row at this week's Barcelona Open, withdrawing because he is not physically ready to play.

The world number 3 won his first title in 11 months in Monte Carlo after suffering from a knee injury.

He will again be on the men to beat at next month's French Open.
