Sean Marks wants to play on

The New Zealand basketballer Sean Marks has no intention of giving up on the NBA.

Marks missed the last month of the season with the New Orleans Hornets after undergoing shoulder surgery.

Marks, who becomes an unrestricted free agent on the first of July says getting back to 100 percent physically tops his off-season to-do list.

The 34-year-old says he's got a lot of work ahead of him and is going to make sure he's in the best shape of his life, for whatever that leads to.

Marks says he'd prefer to re-sign with the Hornets, with whom he's played the last 2 of his 10 seasons in the NBA, but understands the team may decide not to bring him back.

In his ten NBA seasons Marks has started just 14 matches.
