The All Black first five Dan Carter is back in the Crusaders starting lineup for Friday night's Super 14 match against the Western Force in Perth.
He missed last week's win over the Cheetahs with a hip injury.
Coach Todd Blackadder has named a strong lineup with flanker Kieren Read back from injury to start at 6, Brad Thorn back in the second row and Zac Guildford back on the wing.
Kahn Fotuali'i again starts at halfback keeping Andy Ellis on the reserves bench.
