Swimmers bring back 22 medals from British paralympic meet

All five New Zealand swimmers who have just finished competing in the British International Championships in Sheffield have achieved qualifying times for paralympic World championships to be held in Eindhoven, Netherlands in August .

The team is bringing back 22 medals, 10 gold medals, six silver and six bronze, with the Beijing paralympic star, Sophie Pascoe from Christchurch finishing with seven and Aucklanders Cameron Leslie, Rebecca Dubber and Daniel Holt one each.

The Waikato swimmer Michael Ardern came away with a silver and a bronze.

However they won't back today as scheduled because of the airline schedue disruption and are now expected to arrive in Auckland on Saturday morning.
