Ross Taylor's involvement in the Indian Premier League is just about over after his Royal Challengers Bangalore side were beaten by 35 runs in the semi-finals by top qualifiers the Mumbai Indians.
Sachin Tendulkar's Indians scored 184 for 5 in their 20 overs, while Taylor scored an unbeaten 31 as the Challengers responded with 149 for 9.
Taylor will play the third place play-off match on Sunday morning before joining up with the Black Caps squad preparing for this month's Twenty20 World Cup in the Caribbean.
Chennai play Decan in the other semi-final tomorrow morning.
