It's been another bad weekend in the Super 14 rugby competition for New Zealand sides after the Blues rounded out round 11 with a loss to the Sharks.
The Auckland side's finals hopes have suffered a big setback and the South African side are now level with the Blues in eighth equal on the table after the 23-10 victory.
The Hurricanes were the sole local side to win on the weekend, their slim playoff hopes remaining alive after their 33-31 win over the Highlanders in Dunedin, while the Bulls are top after thrashing the winless Lions 51-11.
The New South Wales Waratahs also beat the ACT Brumbies 19-12 in Sydney.
