The Melbourne Storm captain Cameron Smith hasn't given up hope that the NRL might overturn its decision to ban them from accruing any points in 2010 as part of their punishment for breaching the salary cap rules.
Following their highly motivated 40-6 romp over the Warriors last night, three days after the salary cap scandal broke, the Storm players were due to meet with their Players Association late last night to canvass a wide range of options, including the possibility of taking pay cuts in an attempt to get under the salary cap.
