Bates scored a team high 32 from 37 balls as the Trailblazers made 129 for 6.

Devine bowled two overs for 14 runs.

In reply the Supernovas reached their target off the last ball with Devine scoring 19.

Fellow White Fern Lea Tahuhu bowled two overs.

The clash at Wankhede Stadium pitted two invitational teams made up of the world's best players from Australia, India, England and New Zealand in an exhibition game regarded as somewhat of an entree to an eventual women's IPL competition.

The one-off clash was played as a curtain-raiser to the IPL qualifying final between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India hopes to introduce a women's IPL within the next two to three years.
