It's taken nine championship races but Ford have finally landed a blow on Holden in the 2010 V8 Supercars series.
James Courtney won the opening race of the Ipswich round, west of Brisbane, on Saturday, the 30-year-old overtaking the pole sitter - Holden's Garth Tander - by the second of the race's 38 laps and finishing more than 13 seconds ahead of Holden veteran Craig Lowndes.
It was the first win by Ford this series after series leader Jamie Whincup had claimed six of the first eight races. Tander had won the other two.
