Cleveland Cavaliers basketball star LeBron James says he's humbled after being named the NBA's Most Valuable Player for the second straight season.

The NBA has not officially announced the 25-year-old as the recipient but he confirmed at a pre-game session with reporters that he would receive the award in his hometown of Akron, Ohio, on Monday.

James is just the 10th player to win the award back-to-back, joining such names as Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Michael Jordan.

He led the Cavaliers to 61 victories in the regular season, averaging 29.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 8.6 assists.
