Nonu's been a bad boy

7:02 pm on 4 May 2010

The Hurricanes Super 14 strike weapon Ma'a Nonu has apologised for swearing seven times in a radio interview straight after last weekend's bonus point win over the Chiefs.

The All Blacks midfielder doesn't want his expletive-laden outburst to detract from his team-mate Rodney Soi'oialo's 100th game for the Wellington side.

Neither he nor the club will say what the penalties were.

Nonu admits he crossed the line and has apologised, especially to any children who may have been exposed to his profanities - and he knows he's been a bad boy, joking that he's got a few scars on his backside after his punishment.

The Hurricanes face the Queensland Reds in another must-win to kick off the penultimate round of the Super 14 in the capital on Friday.
