Mike Catt announces retirement

12:50 pm on 5 May 2010

The durable England rugby international Mike Catt has finally decided to retire from all rugby and his last match will be this weekend's English premiership game for London Irish.

The South African-born utility back won 75 international caps, and played in two World Cup finals, England's victory over Australia in 2003, and the loss to South Africa in 2007, after which he retired from international rugby.

Catt made his England debut in 1994, and he was the player famously run over by a rampaging Jonah Lomu at the 1995 World Cup in South Africa.
