With just over a month to go before the start of the World Cup football finals in South Africa more than half the 500-thousand tickets offered last month for cash sales are still available.
Initial business was brisk when the fifth and final phase of sales opened in South Africa on April 15, sparking long queues, but interest appears to have cooled and there are stil 270-thousand tickets available, although the tournament is nearly 90 percent sold out.
