Piri Weepu plays wait and see

9:07 am on 6 May 2010

The All Black halfback Piri Weepu's been in and out of favour with the national and Hurricanes' selectors this season but he'll be starting in tomorrow night's crucial Super 14 match against the Queensland Reds in Wellington.

Weepu says he's been talking to the All Black coaches about their expectations but he's not saying much about their thinking, nor about whether tomorrow night's match could be his last home appearance for the Hurricanes.

He says while some team-mates have already made a decision their futures, he'll just wait and see how it goes.

Piri Weepu's team-mate Rodney Soi'oialo is playing his 100th game for the Hurricanes while a more recent All Black, Tamati Ellison, is moving to Japan at the end the season.
