The Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic have beaten the Central Pulse 56-44 in their trans-Tasman netball clash in Rotorua.
The Magic were up by just three goals at half-time, but then outscored their opposition 16-6 in the third quarter to take control of the match.
The Magic remain second in the standings and the winless Pulse at the bottom of the table.
Pulse captain Jane Altschwager says her side finally got their basics right and was happy with their performance after some terrible games this season.
