New Zealand's shotputters have failed to make the podium at the latest Diamond League event in Monaco.
Dame Valerie Adams finished fourth with a season best 19.31 metres - her first time over 19 metres since giving birth to her daughter last year.
She finished a metre behind the winner, Lijao Gong, of China.
American Raven Saunders finished second at 19.67m while German Christina Schwanitz was third best with 19.51m.
Tom Walsh finished fifth in the men's competition despite leading the event for a brief time.
Walsh's best attempt of 21.49 was over half a metre behind olympic champion, American Ryan Crouser, who broke the 22 metre mark.
Fellow American Darrell Hill finished second with 21.72 - it's his best result at a Diamond League meeting, while Brazil's Darlan Romani rounded out the top three with 21.70m.
The next women's shot put event is in Birmingham in a month's time, while the men's shot put heads to Zurich for the Diamond League final at the end of August.
