The New Zealand Racing Board has announced a solid half-year result with revenue of 830-million dollars slightly up on budget.

The result will see the Board through the second half of the year which is expected to be more challenging.

Last month's launch of two new racing channels by Sky Australia, which will broadcast all New Zealand races, should lead to increased revenue in the second half of the financial year.
