The world champion sculler Mahe Drysdale doesn't think a back injury that's hindered his preparations for the New Zealand rowing team's European tour will affect him at the World Championships later this year on Lake Karapiro.
Drysdale says it's likely he won't be racing at the first World Cup regatta in Slovenia at the end of the month, but he hopes to be fully fit for the last World regatta in the second week of July,.\
He says his priority's always been the world championships from in the first week of November, then the 2012 Olympics in London.
With nine years of endurance training behind him, Drysdale says two months out isn't a big issue,.
He says after three months out last year it took about five weeks to reach a good standard so he's confident he'll be flying by the end of October.
