Lighting dims first US T20 internationals

Sub-standard lights have forced organisers to cut one of the upcoming Twenty20 cricket matches between New Zealand and Sri Lanka in Florida.

The first full internationals to take place in the United States will now be two day games only next weekend after the lights at Broward County Regional Park were deemed not bright enough by the International Cricket Council.

A planned Thursday night match was dropped, shrinking the Pearls Cup event to two matches and moving the historic first full international meeting on US soil to next Sunday.

Jamaica and the United States will stage a T20 match each day as well.
