Team New Zealand has won the opening regatta of the MedCup series in Portugal.
Well back after the first day of fleet racing racing, Team New Zealand sealed the regatta with a race to spare.
They finished 20 points head of the French-German boat All4One and is their 5th straight regatta victory going back to last season.
Skipper Dean Barker says the venue and course was very tricky to start with and is delighted to get the new campaign off to a successful start.
The next round is in Marseille next month.
