ATP to look at players schedule again

Following further withdrawals from next week's French Open, the spotlight has again fallen on the schedule for the top tennis players.

The two-time semi-finalist David Nalbandian has joined fellow Argentinian Juan Martin del Potro, Russia's Nikolay Davydenko and France's Gilles Simon as absentees, along with women's US Open champion Kim Clijsters.

The four-time French Open champion Rafael Nadal has been long calling for the players schedule to be re-evaluated to increase the lenght of the off-season to help them recover from injuries

Adam Helfant, the executive chairman of the ATP, which runs the men's tour, says they have been working on this issue and the number of withdrawals has decreased in recent years, but it's an ongoing concern.
