The New Zealand women's hockey team have ended a frustrating five-match series with India on a positive note, winning the final Test in Wellington 1-0.
India still claimed the series 2-1, but in her 50th game for the Black Sticks, Clarissa Eshuis scored what proved to be the winning goal with a trademark dragflick in the sixth minute.
Coach Mark Hager says it was a relief to finally get a win and he was much happier with the home side's improved defensive effort.
The squad for the Champions Trophy in England in July will be named on Tuesday.
