Warriors suffer key injuries

The New Zealand Warriors' tense National Rugby League win over South Sydney may have come at a cost with the possibility of one season-ending injury.

The Warriors came from behind to score a five-try to four, 26-24 victory over the Rabbitohs in Auckland.

But Kiwis prop Sam Rapira suffered a serious knee injury, with concerns it could be an ACL problem that may rule him out for months.

Halfback James Maloney has a back injury which could rule him out of next Friday's match against Wests Tigers.

It adds to their woes with the Warriors already nursing the likes of key players Steve Price and Manu Vatuvei on the sidelines

Warriors coach Ivan Cleary says he was very happy with the effort and the determination and he thought they deserved the win.

The win moves them up to seventh on the table.
