Japan's World Cup football coach Takeshi Okada put his own job on the line but was persuaded to carry on after a morale-sapping 2-0 loss at home to South Korea in a World Cup send-off for both sides.

It's Japan's second loss to the Koreans this year in a stumbling buildup to the World Cup and the second loss for Japan, and and an aploogetic coach Okada asked the JFA president if he should keep his job.

Japan need to restore their confidence in remaining warmup games against England and Ivory Coast.
