Johannesburg city officials have promised to fix major traffic problems that disrupted the inaugural match at the World Cup's showpiece stadium at the weekend.
Traffic chaos caused fans to miss both the opening ceremony at Soccer City and part of the historic Bulls-Crusaders Super 14 rugby match in Soweto's new Orlando arena.
The kick-off in the South African Cup final at Soccer City was delayed by 30 minutes because of the traffic jam. Callers to radio stations said they had been stuck for up to two hours on the off ramp from Johannesburg's urban motorway.
Ongoing road works and a rail strike contributed to the chaos.
