Magic and Steel look for wins and play-off spots

7:15 pm on 7 June 2010

New Zealand's two top-placed teams in the trans-tasman netball competition are in action tonight, with the Southern Steel and Waikato/Bay of Plenty Magic both in the hunt for a place in the play-offs.

The fifth-placed Steel host the Canterbury Tactix in Invercargill, where a win could push the team into fourth spot with two rounds to play.

Meanwhile the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Magic, currently in third place, has lost its last two games in a row.

The Magic is looking to turn that luck around against the unbeaten New South Wales Swifts in Sydney tonight, to stay in strong play-off contention.
