Jamie Hill back to winning ways

After a year's absence from the Professional Bowls Association due to family and New Zealand commitments, Jamie Hill has won the final of the Pukekohe World Indoor Singles qualifier.

Hill showed the form that took him to the top of the New Zealand PBA rankings for six years when he comfortably beat the national number two Neil Fisher 13-3, 9-6 to earn a play-off spot in Dunedin in September against the other three qualifying venue winners.

In Hastings Hawke's Bay's Murray Glassey beat Manawatu's Peter Lambert a tiebreak while in Christchurch Dave Archer won his first PBA tournament and Chris Lourie won in Waikato.

They'll play-off September 3-5th to become New Zealand's representative in the richest competition in bowls history next January when the World Tour plays for a first prize of 40,000 pounds in England.
