Issac Luke facing one match NRL suspension for hit on Thurston

The South Sydney and New Zealand rugby league hooker Isaac Luke is facing a one match suspension after being charged with making dangerous contact following the video review of his team's 32-4 NRL win over North Queensland in Sydney on Monday night.

Luke was charged after being deemed to have 'late hit' the Cowboys captain Jonathan Thurston after the North Queensland playmaker had kicked the ball.

The Rabbitohs star will miss one match unless he successfully contests the charge at a judiciary hearing this week.
