6:19 pm on 8 June 2010

The former Auckland representative cricketer Alan Hunt is to replace former England international Dermot Reeve as coach of the Central District side.

Hunt, who's 50, is currently a director of a mortgage broking company, in Auckland, and has worked in the banking and finance industry over the past thirty years.

He's previously coached the Auckland and Northern Districts second elevens.

Reeve left CD at the end of the season amid reports of disharmony between the players and himself.

He had a successful stint with C.D. guiding them the State Championship four-day final in 2008-09 before winning the Twenty20 competition this year.
