Lakers beat Celtics to take 2-1 series lead

4:19 pm on 9 June 2010

The Los Angeles Lakers stunned the Celtics 91-84 in Boston to grab a 2-1 lead in the NBA Finals and reclaim home-court advantage in the best-of-seven series between the league's fiercest rivals.

Kobe Bryant paced the Lakers with 29 points but the All-Star guard hit only 10 of 29 shots, including just one of seven from beyond the arc.

Bryant says the Lakers veteran guard Derek Fisher made a key contribution with 11 of his 16 points in the final quarter.

Boston was led by Kevin Garnett, who scored 25 points on 11 of 16 shooting from the floor.

The next two games of the series are in Boston, with Game Four set for Friday.
