The New Zealand sevens and Wellington halfback Ruki Tipuna has joined the New Zealand Maori rugby side as a replacement for the injured Chris Smylie.
Smylie suffered a fractured cheekbone in Saturday's 37-31 win over the New Zealand Barbarians in Whangarei.
Tipuna has joined the team in Rotorua ahead of Friday night's match against Ireland.
