Superstar Kobe Bryant fired the Los Angeles Lakers to an 89-67 rout of the Boston Celtics to force a deciding game seven in the NBA basketball finals series.

Bryant scored 26 points and pulled in 11 rebounds while teammate Pau Gasol scored 17 points in the home win which tied the battle for the title at 3-all.

Ray Allen finished with 19 points and Kevin Garnett scored 12 for the Celtics, who looked anything but the team that compiled the second best road record in the league this season.

The Lakers will also host game seven on Friday, marking just the second time in five years the championship series has gone to seven games.
