NSW captain expecting plenty of flak from Maroons fans

The NSW rugby league side will be looking to put a disastrous preparation behind them when they take on Queensland in game two of the State of Origin series in Brisbane tonight.

The Blues need to win to avoid a record fifth straight series defeat.

NSW have been stung by a race row sparked by their assistant coach Andrew Johns who made offensive remarks about Maroons centre Greg Inglis.

Johns later resigned and apologised after NSW winger Timana Tahu walked out on the team in response to Johns comments and the Blues captain Kurt Gidley is expecting plenty of noise from the Maroons fans this evening.

State of Origin two kicks off at 10:30 tonight.
