The Highlanders could have new coaches next season with the NZRU and the Super rugby franchise confirming the head and assistant coach roles will be advertised.
This follows a 2010 season review with current head coach Glenn Moore and assistant coach Peter Russell.
The coaching review panel, which included the former All Black captain and NZRU Board member Graham Mourie made the recommendation.
Moore and Russell eligible to re-apply for the positions when they're advertised on Sunday week.
