Penrith upset Brisbane, Gold Coast slip past Bulldogs

Penrith have proved their National Rugby League premiership credentials, ending Brisbane's five-game winning streak 22-12 at Suncorp Stadium to move into a share of the competition lead with St George Illawarra.

Gold Coast scored a nail-biting 25-24 win over the Bulldogs, also in Brisbane, but the Titans now face a taxing month without skipper Scott Prince after badly missing his leadership and composure in the nail-biting victory on Friday night.

Prince tore his hamstring midway through the first half at Suncorp Stadium and his absence was sorely evident as the Titans gave up a seemingly unassailable 24-6 lead.
