Big win for All Blacks in last Carisbrook Test

12:37 pm on 20 June 2010

New Zealand first five eighth Daniel Carter was back to his best as the All Blacks defeated Wales 42-9 at Carisbrook.

Carter scored 27 points including two tries at the last-ever Test to be staged at the Dunedin venue, which has been in use since the 1870s.

Wales could only manage three penalties while Keven Mealamu, Cory Jane and Richard Kahui also scored tries for the All Blacks.

The Welsh forwards challenged New Zealand in the first half but the hosts turned up the pace and took advantage as their opponents tired in the second half.

It was 15-9 at half-time.
