Woods storms up the leaderboard at U.S. Open

The world golf number one Tiger Woods put the off course trouble of the past seven months behind him, to storm into contention at the U.S. Open at the close of the third round at Pebble Beach in California.

Woods, who began the day tied for 25th and seven strokes off the pace, turned in a five under par round of 66 to sit in third place at one under par for the tournament, five shots behind the leader fellow American Dustin Johnson who also shot a 66 today.

Wood's is chasing his 15th major title.
