Windies and South Africa settle for draw

The second cricket test between West Indies and South Africa in Basseterre in St Kitts ended in a tedious draw on the last day when the tourists declared and both teams agreed there was no point continuing .

South Africa declared their second innings at 235 for three after just 12 overs of the evening session, a lead of 232.

The third and final test starts in Barbados on Saturday and South Africa lead the series 1-0.

Shivnarine Chanderpaul was named man of the match for his marathon 166 in the West Indies' first innings total of 546.
