A six-game losing streak is finally over for the Canterbury Bulldogs after they put the bite on the Raiders 18-10 in Canberra last night.
The Bulldogs arrived needing to win eight of their final 11 games just to scrape into the NRL finals.
In a remarkable turnaround, the Bulldogs ran out at Canberra Stadium with a 3-10 win-loss record - the reverse of what they were at the same time last season.
But in freezing condition they raced to an 18-0 lead after as many minutes before the Raiders .regained their composure to close the gap to eight at half-time.
The Bulldogs' much malinged defence then held strong in a score-less second half.
