FIFA ignores referees' blunders

FIFA's steadfastly refusing to enter into the debate over the use of technology despite a World Cup marred by a series of referee blunders.

Answers have been demanded of football's world governing after major refereeing blunders in yesterday's Germany-England and Argentina-Mexico second-round matches.

But a spokesman Nicolas Maingot says FIFA's stance remained the same on the non-use of technology, even though its use is widespread in tennis, Formula One, rugby, field hockey and cricket.
