The English premier league football club Blackburn is reportedly interested in signing New Zealand defender Winston Reid, which could have him playing alongside All Whites skipper Ryan Nelsen.
The football website goal.com says Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce is weighing up signing the 21 year old, who plays for the Danish club FC Midtjylland.
Reid says one of the reasons he opted to play for New Zealand, having previously played for Denmark at under-21 level, was to attract attention from bigger European clubs.
