Serena Williams has stormed to her fourth Wimbledon crown and her 13th Grand Slam title after crushing the 21st seed Vera Zvonareva 6-3 6-2 at the All England Club in London.

The world number one powered past the Russian in just over an hour to put a Williams' name on the trophy for the ninth time in 11 years.

Serena now moves past Billie Jean King to sixth on the all-time list of Grand Slam champions and the American says she's proud of her place in the record books.

The men's Wimbledon final between the top seed Spainard Rafael Nadal and 12th seed Czech Tomas Berdych takes place Monday morning at 1am.
