The New Zealand golfer Michael Hendry has scored a breakthrough victory in the OneAsia golf Tour, winning the 1.4 million dollar Indonesia Open.
The North Harbour professional fired a seven-under par 65 in the final round to finish on 19-under, running away with a seven shot victory at the Damai Indah Golf course in Jakarta.
The 30 year old Hendry led by one shot from Chinese number one Liang Wenchong going into the final round, but a remarkable run of seven birdies in nine holes pushed the New Zealander well clear of the field.
