The South African Rugby Union has announced that next month's Springboks-All Blacks Tri-Nations test will be played in Johannesburg's Soccer City stadium, the venue for Monday morning's World Cup final.
The decision to move the match away from traditional rugby venues follows the huge success of holding the Super 14 final in nearby Orlando Stadium, which saw many white rugby fans going to Johannesburg's mainly black Soweto township for the first time.
The match will also offer discounted tickets, following the pricing model used for the World Cup, in the hope of attracting a capacity crowd of nearly 90,000.
Soccer City will be renamed National Stadium after the World Cup.
