Bolt too fast in first race since May

The triple Olympic champion Usain Bolt equalled the year's best 100 metres time as he won his first race in six weeks in 9.82 seconds at Switzerland's Diamond League meeting this morning.

The Jamaican had not competed since straining his left Achilles tendon in late May but looked untroubled in beating his training partner Yohan Blake for the title.

With Bolt returning from injury Blake had eyed the event as his best chance to beat his close friend but says the world record holder is in a league of his own.

Bolt only raced the 100 metres in Switzerland after deciding to pull out of the 200 due to the injury.

Bolt faces a much sterner test next week in Paris where he'll run against compatriot Asafa Powell, the man who's run the fastest 100 metres so far this year.
